SMS Sending Overview

To enable SMS messaging, your site must have an active SMS API integration.


  1. Set Up Your SMSGlobal Account and Purchase Credits:

    Venue Sumo integrates with SMSGlobal for SMS delivery. To use SMS messaging, you'll need to pre-purchase credits.

    Each location can either:

    - Use its own SMSGlobal API credentials for individual management and billing, or

    - Share a single account across all locations.

  2. Create and Manage the SMS Templates:

    Create and edit reusable SMS templates for consistent communication.

  3. Send and Review SMS messages:

    Messages can be sent from a Booking, Order, or Customer Record.

    SMS history is available under the SMS tab in each of these areas, showing sent messages, customer replies, and the date and time each message was marked as "Sent."

  4. Control Access with SMS Roles:

    Roles define what users can do in the system, ensuring access aligns with responsibilities. SMS Roles specifically control who can manage templates, send messages, or edit content.
