Setting up Windcave Payment Gateway and Payment Terminals

Follow this step-by-step guide to integrate Windcave payment solutions with your Venue Sumo POS system. Windcave is able to provide both:

  • Card readers for instore payments
  • Online gateway for online bookings

Step 1: Create a Windcave Account

Before setting up the integration, you need an active Windcave account.

  • Contact your Venue Sumo account manager to be introduced to Windcave.

Once your account is set up, Windcave will provide you with API credentials.


Step 2: Add Windcave as Your Payment Gateway in Venue Sumo

  1. Log in to your Venue Sumo back office.
  2. Go to Settings > Locations > Payment Gateway.

  3. Click Add and select Windcave under Payment Gateway API.

    Enter the API details provided by Windcave:

    • API Username
    • API Key
  4. Click Save.

Your Windcave payment gateway is now connected.


Step 3: Set Up Windcave Payment Terminals

For each payment terminal, Windcave will provide:

  • Station ID
  • User
  • Key

To add these terminals in Venue Sumo:

  1. Go to Settings > Locations > Payment Terminals.

  2. Click Add and select Windcave under Payment Terminal API.

    Enter the details provided by Windcave:

    • Station ID
    • User
    • Key
  3. Click Save.

Your payment terminals will now be linked and ready to use.
