Create a Discount for Memberships

Memberships can be linked to two types of discounts: Discount Codes, which are reusable with configurable usage limits and restrictions, and Discount Vouchers, which are single-use codes displayed in the membership order and show whether they’ve been redeemed. At checkout, customers simply enter their Customer ID in the "Add Voucher or Promo Code" field, and the applicable discount will be automatically applied for either type.

1. Go to:

   Operations > Discounts

   
   

2. Click:

   + New Discount

   
   

3. Configure the Discount:

   Discounts can be set as either a percentage or a fixed amount and applied across various channels—online, POS, and admin. You can define usage limits, active timeframes, and applicable products.

   To create a membership-specific discount, follow the Operations – Discounts guide and ensure the following settings:

   • For Members = YES

   • Member Type = MEMBER

     
     

4. Click:

   Save

   
   

5. Apply Filters:

   After saving, a FILTERS section appears.

   Click the Add Location button and select the venue where this discount will be used. 

   - If no location is set, the discount applies to all locations

   - If one or more locations are set, the discount applies only to those locations and not to any others

   
   

6. Select Facilites:

   - If no facilities are set, the discount applies to all facilities and associated products within the selected Booking Product Types, POS Product Types and Voucher Product Types

   - If one or more facilities are set, the discount applies only to those facilities and not to any others

   
   

7. Select Products and Extras:

   - If no products and extras are set, the discount applies to all products within the selected facilities within the selected Booking Product Types, POS Product Types and Voucher Product Types

   - If one or more products and extras are set up, the discount applies only to those products/extra's and not to any others

   
   

8. Link to a Membership:

   Create membership benefits with discounts to link the discount to a membership product.

   
   

9. Examples:

   Create a 10% Single-Use Birthday Party Discount for Members

   Create a 10% POS-Only Food & Beverage Discount for Members

   Create a 20% Weekend-Only Facility Discount for Members
