Reinstate a Cancelled Membership

Reinstating a cancelled membership retains the member’s original history, linked benefits, and avoids resetting minimum term or payment tracking—making it cleaner and more accurate than starting fresh.

  1. Access the Membership Order:

  2. Click on "Reinstate Membership"

In the Details tab, click the hamburger icon next to the membership you want to reinstate, and select "Reinstate Membership" from the dropdown menu

  3. If the membership has an "Active" status:

If the End Date is still in the future, clicking the "Reinstate Membership" link will remove the Date Cancelled field. This will fully reverse the cancellation and allow the membership to continue without interruption.

  4. If the membership has a "Cancelled" status:

If the next scheduled payment date has already passed, a warning will appear indicating that all missed payments since the last successful payment will be charged.

Use this option with caution, as it may result in a significant charge to the customer’s account to recover outstanding payments.

  5. System Behaviour:

If a membership is reinstated, the Date Cancelled field will be cleared. The End Date will either be removed or updated automatically based on the rules defined in the membership product.

  6. Important Note:

Reinstating a membership does not restore any bookings that were automatically cancelled when the membership was cancelled. These bookings will need to be rebooked manually.
