What is the difference between a Order and a Facility Booking?

VenueSumo is uniquely setup in the backoffice with Orders and Facility Bookings.

Typically, venue software when you make a booking, you are adding "products" with times into the same place.

VenueSumo instead, groups them into separate bookings that has the date and time they book that sit within an "Order". This gives the customer/operator the option to purchase multiple items for different dates but they are then grouped according to what they are booking.

This allows the different rules to apply for the relevant booking as well as track what has been paid against each booking EG deposit amounts, when payments are due for each booking etc.

An "Order" is a collection of "Bookings".

The majority of guests are going to book one date and time.

However, if the guest books one product (like a birthday party) and books an addon product like a playcenter pass for a younger child that cannot participate in the party, it will create two bookings within the order.

This unique setup with "Orders" and "Bookings" allows for guests to be able to modify or amend their own bookings with a login, as the bookings are separated within an Order.

You can see that in this 'Order' There is 3 different bookings.
