Automated Payment SMS Notifications
To enable automated payment SMS notifications, your site must have SMS integration activated. This can be arranged by contacting support@venuesumo.com.
Each location can be assigned its own SMS credentials, with usage billed directly to the venue. This allows individual sites to manage and monitor their SMS communications independently.
Existing SMS Templates
Scheduled Payment Fail
Message: "Your payment of «Transaction.TransactionAmountFormatted» was declined for a 2nd time. An email with further information has been sent to your email address."
Scheduled Payment Reminder
Message: "Hi, just a reminder that your payment of «context.TBA» will be processed tonight."
Scheduled Payment Retry
Message: "Your payment of «Transaction.TransactionAmountFormatted» was declined. Please make sure that your card has sufficient funds. We will attempt payment again in «RetryDays» day(s)."
Scheduled Payment Success
Message: "Hi, your payment of «Transaction.TransactionAmountFormatted» was successfully processed. Thank you."
SMS Activation and Notifications
If any of these templates are set to ACTIVE, the system will automatically send the SMS in addition to the EMAIL that is automatically triggered.
These messages are sent during the automated process that runs to handle membership payments, so SMS notifications will only go out when that process is triggered.
Important Notes:
You may edit these SMS templates; however, proceed with caution—especially when modifying templates with system-generated placeholders like «Transaction.TransactionAmountFormatted»
or «RetryDays»
. These fields pull live data from the system. Altering or removing them could disrupt how payment details are communicated to customers. If unsure, contact support before making changes.
