Automatically Suspend a Membership

Memberships can be auto suspended after x number of failed payments. This will update the membership to be “suspended” and cannot be used until it is reinstated.

  1. Go to:

    Operations - Memberships

  2. Set:

Auto-Suspend Failed Payments = [X] (the number of payment attempts you wish to allow before automatically suspending the membership) .

For example, set it to 2

  3. What happens next?

After [X] failed payment attempts, the system will automatically change the membership status to "Suspended".

At this point, membership benefits will be paused and the member will not have access to them.

The system will continue to attempt payment.

If a payment is successfully processed, the membership status will be automatically restored to "Active", and benefits will resume immediately.

  1. Reinstate the Membership:

Click on the hamburger icon, and select "Reinstate Membership"

The membership status will now be "Overdue" if there is still an amount outstanding, or "Active" if the customer has made a payment.
