How to Create Stock Charge Types
Define how different stock costs are tracked and whether they impact your total inventory cost.
Stock Charge Types let you categorize the different types of charges applied to stock items, such as shipping, packaging, or resale goods. You can also control whether each charge type adds to the overall stock cost, helping you manage accurate costing for stock items in your reporting.
This guide shows you how to create new Stock Charge Types in your system.
Go to:
Stock > Stock Charge Types
Click:
+ New Stock Charge Type
- Enter Charge Type Details:
Name:
Enter the name of the charge type (e.g., "Consumable", "Resale", "Packaging").
Add To Cost?
Select Y (Yes) if this charge type should be added to average Stock cost calculations.
Select N (No) if it should not affect Stock average costs calculations.
- Save the charge type.
