Settings - Cost Centers
Cost Centers classify who is purchasing—such as customer types, channels, or departments. Each Cost Center should have a unique code and a clear, descriptive name. Use separate codes for different groups to ensure accurate reporting.
Name | A clear, descriptive label for the cost centre (e.g. School Groups, Corporate). |
Code | A unique identifier used for reporting and system reference (e.g. CC07, CC09). |
Once created, a Cost Center’s name and code can be edited, but it cannot be deleted if already assigned to a product.
Cost Centers are assigned at the product and stock level by selecting the Cost Center from a dropdown box. If the Cost Center is edited, the update will automatically apply to all associated products and stock items.
